Operators, not theorists.
Medical centres have been my professional environment for fifteen years. I started as a practice manager, worked my way up through operations roles, co-founded and sold two practices, and today I oversee ten-plus medical centres across Australia — some on site, others remotely — with twenty-plus managers and over forty reception staff reporting in.
Along the way I've prepared every accreditation I've been responsible for to a pass, accredited dental practices as well as general practices, built and configured Best Practice from bare servers, negotiated pathology and supplies contracts, recruited doctors from overseas, and turned around centres that were losing money. DocHelp is how I bring that operational standard to practices that need it.
Why I started DocHelp.
Over the years I watched too many practices get burned. Not because their care was bad — because they hired the wrong help. Consultants who'd email a checklist, drop in for half a day and leave. An IT company that didn't understand clinical workflow. A recruiter who'd never sat on reception. Practices would scramble at the eleventh hour, spend tens of thousands on emergency contractors, and barely scrape through. Three years later, the cycle repeated.
I knew there was a better way because I was already doing it inside my own centres. DocHelp exists so a practice owner never has to outsource each job to a different company and then manage all of them.
Hands-on. Always.
I co-founded Lorne Street Medical Practice in 2015 and Doy Street Medical Centre in 2017 — found the sites, drew the floor plans, set up the software, hired and trained the staff, passed the accreditations, grew them, and sold both. Doy Street's new owners recalled me in 2025 to stabilise operations. I know the business of a medical centre because I've done it end to end, more than once.
I write the policy manuals myself. I sit with reception staff and walk them through awkward patient conversations. I draw the evacuation diagrams. I build the Best Practice templates and the Cubiko dashboards. The hands-on work that costs tens of thousands when it's outsourced — we do internally, because we know how.
This year alone we've accredited three medical centres that each came to us having scored 80 out of 90 on their initial assessment. We rebuilt their compliance, retrained their teams, and got them across the line within two to three weeks of their deadline. That's the kind of work we do.
