Terms of use.

The rules for using this website, its tools and its free templates.

Last updated: 11 September 2026

These terms cover the website dochelp.com.au, which is run by DocHelp, a Melbourne medical practice consultancy operated by Jamal Al-Sharifi. By using the site you accept them. Our privacy policy covers what happens to any information you send us.

General information only.

Everything on this site, including the guides, insights, tools, templates and checklists, is general information for practice owners and managers. It is not legal, financial, tax, architectural or medical advice, and it does not take your practice's circumstances into account. Requirements change. Confirm the current position with the relevant regulator, and get independent professional advice before you act on anything here.

Not a client until we both sign.

Reading this site, sending an enquiry, using a tool or asking a question through it does not make you a client of DocHelp, and we owe you no professional duty because of it. We are engaged when both of us have signed a service agreement. Until then, anything we say on the site, in an email, on the phone or in a free audit report is general comment, offered to help you decide whether to engage us.

Tools, calculators and the readiness check.

The calculators and the readiness check work from the numbers and answers you type in, and from the published rates and rules current at the date shown on each tool. They do not know your billing mix, your contracts, your staff or your lease. A tool gives you an estimate. An audit gives you the number. Do not bill, budget, borrow or make staffing decisions on a tool result without checking it, and verify every item number and rebate on MBS Online before you bill. We may change or remove a tool at any time.

Free templates and resources.

The posters, signs and scripts on the resources page are free for use in your own practice. Edit them, add your logo, print as many as you need. You may not sell them, offer them for download elsewhere, or present them as your own work. They are templates. A sign is the visible part of a system, and putting one up does not on its own meet a Standard.

Copyright.

The words, images, page designs, tools, templates and code on this site belong to DocHelp unless we say otherwise. You may read, print and share pages for your own practice's use, with a link back to the page. Reproducing the site or its content for commercial use, or for another consultancy, needs our written permission first. The DocHelp name and mark are ours. Other product and organisation names on the site belong to their owners and are used only to describe the work we do with them.

Links to other sites.

We link to regulators, the Department of Health, MBS Online, the OAIC, LinkedIn and other sites because they are useful. We do not control them, we do not endorse everything on them, and we are not responsible for their content or for how they handle your information. Their own terms and privacy policies apply once you leave dochelp.com.au.

Using the site.

Use the site lawfully. Do not send spam, malicious code or anything designed to interfere with the site, its forms or the services behind it. Do not send patient names, health details or anything from a clinical record through a form, the Ask widget or email; our privacy policy explains why. We may block access to anyone who misuses the site.

Availability and changes.

We try to keep the site accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be free of errors or always up. We may change, pause or remove any part of the site, including the tools and resources, at any time without notice. We may also update these terms. The date at the top tells you when, and using the site after a change means you accept the new version.

Liability.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded by agreement. Beyond that, to the extent the law allows, DocHelp is not liable for any loss or damage, including lost income, that arises from your use of this site, its tools or its templates, or from relying on anything published on it. Where the law lets us limit liability rather than exclude it, our liability is limited, at our choice, to supplying the relevant service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again. The service agreement covers paid work; this page covers the website.

Governing law.

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any dispute about them, or about the site, is dealt with in the courts of Victoria.
